يعاني الكثير من مستخدمي النظام العالمي لتحديد المواقع “GPS” من مشاكل “غياب الدقة” في المدن، وخاصة المكتظة منها.
وقال موقع “آرس تيكنيكا”، المتخصص في أخبار التقنية، إن شركة غوغل تدرك أن الحصول على موقع محدد لشخص ما ليس دقيقا دائما، وذلك بفضل أخطاء تتبع الموقع.
وتابعت: “لكنه من المفترض أن يصبح تتبع الموقع دقيقا عبر العديد من هواتف أندرويد ابتداء من العام المقبل”.
وكشفت غوغل الخطوات التي اتخذتها لتحسين دقة التتبع في المناطق الحضرية، إذ طرحت الإصدار الثاني من تصحيحات GPS على “غوغل مابس” بمساعدة الخرائط الثلاثية الأبعاد لهاتفي Pixel 5 وPixel 4a 5G، التي تتميز بتحسين الدقة بشكل كبير مقارنة بما هو متاح حاليا.
وذكرت: “يستخدم الحل الذي نقدمه تصحيحات بمساعدة الخرائط الثلاثية الأبعاد، ويمكن تنفيذه على نطاق واسع لأنه يشتمل على نماذج المباني الثلاثية الأبعاد والقياسات الأولية لنظام جي بي آس والتعلم الآلي”.
وتخطط شركة التكنولوجيا العملاقة لجلب الإصدار الثاني من تصحيحات النظام العالمي لتحديد المواقع على “غوغل مابس” بمساعدة الخرائط الثلاثية الأبعاد إلى جميع الأجهزة العاملة بنظام أندرويد 8 أو الإصدار الأحدث في عام 2021.
