بخطوة تاريخية: اليونان تستعد عسكريا للتهديدات التركية
بعد 5 أيام من المناقشات التفصيلية، صوّت البرلمان اليوناني، لصالح زيادة تاريخية في الإنفاق العسكري، بلغت أكثر من 5.5 مليار يورو “أكثر من 6 مليارات دولار” بزيادة تجاوزت كل التوقعات.
ووصلت نسبة الزيادة إلى 57 في المئة مما كانت عليه في العام 2019، حيث خصصت اليونان في ذلك العام 2.3 في المئة من ناتجها للإنفاق العسكري، ووصل حاليا لقرابة 4 في المئة من الإنفاق العام، رغم الصعوبات الاقتصادية التي تعانيها البلاد.
وحول الخطط المستقبلية لليونان في مجال الإنفاق العسكري، قال رئيس الوزراء كيرياكوس ميتسوتاكيس، إن حكومته سوف توقع اتفاقا عسكريا مع الحكومة الفرنسية، لشراء 18 طائرة عسكرية مقاتلة من نوع “داسو رافال”.
وتأتي الخطوة اليونانية ضمن استراتيجية تعاملها مع ملف الأمن البحري الأوروبي، الساعي للتصدي لمحاولة تركيا زعزعة الأمن في المناطق الحدودية لجنوب شرق القارة العجوز.
وتضمن المعلومات التفصيلية التي تضمنها مشروع الميزانية العسكرية اليونانية للعام المقبل، سعي الحكومة اليونانية لتنفيذ برنامج استراتيجي بعيد المدى، يشمل رفع سوية التحرك السريع للجيش اليوناني، بالذات من شبكات التواصل السريع بين قطاعات الجيش، المنتشر على مئات الجزر المنفصلة عن بعضها، إلى جانب شراء عشرات الأنواع من الفرقاطات وطائرات الهليكوبتر والطائرات دون طيار وتجنيد 15 ألف جندي جديد، على الأقل، بالإضافة إلى التوجه الاستراتيجي الساعي للحصول على طائرات أميركية من نوعي “إف 16″ و”إف 35”.
وتندرج كافة هذه التحركات اليونانية ضمن خطة الحكومة لتحديث الجيش خلال السنوات الخمسة القادمة، بزيادة الإنفاق العسكري لتصل إلى 15 مليار دولار.
