صحيفة: إدارة “فيسبوك” تتجاهل استخدام منصتها لأغراض إجرامية
قالت صحيفة”وول ستريت جورنال”إنه غالبا ما يتم استخدام منصة “الفيسبوك” لأغراض إجرامية وللتحريض، وخاصة في البلدان النامية، بالرغم من تحذيرات الخبراء لإدارة هذا الموقع.
وبحسب الصحيفة، فإن الحديث وفق خبراء يجري في المقام الأول عن “البلدان النامية” ، حيث يوجد لدى “الفيسبوك” القليل من الممثلين (المراقبين) الذين يتحدثون اللغات واللهجات المحلية، أو لا يوجد بها أي ممثلين، الأمر الذي يعقد بشكل كبير عملية تصفية المحتوى المحظور، وبالتالي يكون من السهل تحرير المنشور من قبل بعض الذين يستخدمون المنصة لأغراض إجرامية.
ولفتت الصحيفة إلى أن موظفي الشركة أبلغوا بتقاريرهم إدارة الموقع بالحالات التي تم تحديدها من إساءة استخدام منصة التواصل الاجتماعي، لكن تم تجاهل تقاريرهم في كثير من الأحيان.
وعلى الرغم من اعتماد إدارة فيسبوك سياسة حذف صفحات المهاجمين والمحرضين، إلا أنها لم تتخذ خطوات حاسمة لمنع استخدام المنصة بشكل أكبر كأداة للنشاط الضار.
وأوضحت الصحيفة أن خبراء أطلعوا القيادة (إدارة الفيسبوك) على استخدام الشبكات الاجتماعية من قبل الجماعات المسلحة في إثيوبيا للتحريض على العنف ضد الأقليات العرقية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم إبلاغ إدارة الشبكة الاجتماعية حول استخدام البعض للمنصة في الاتجار بالأعضاء، وتوزيع المواد الإباحية.
وتلاحظ الصحيفة، بالإسناد إلى موظفين سابقين في الشركة، أن الغالبية العظمى من أعداد المستخدمين الجدد للشبكة الاجتماعية مسجلين في البلدان النامية، حيث أصبح الفيسبوك أحد وسائل الاتصال والأخبار الرئيسية.
وتعتقد مصادر الصحيفة أن قيادة الشبكة الاجتماعية ركزت جهودها لضمان الأمن في “الأسواق الأكثر ثراء”، بينما يُنظر إلى الدول النامية على أنها مصدر لنمو المستخدمين.
