سلطات هايتي تواجه أزمة جديدة بعد خطف مجموعة من الأمريكيين
واجهت الحكومة الهايتية الهشة أزمة جديدة بعد إقدام عصابة على خطف سبعة عشر مبشرا، هم ستة عشر مواطنا أمريكيا وكندي واحد، قرب العاصمة بورت أو برنس.
وقالت منظمة “كريستشن آيد مينيستريز” في بيان يوم الأحد: “تضم المجموعة المكونة من ستة عشر مواطنا أمريكيا ومواطن كندي واحد، خمسة رجال وسبع نساء وخمسة أطفال”.
وأضافت المنظمة التي تتخذ ولاية أوهايو الأميركية مقرا: “انضموا إلينا في الدعاء من أجل مَن تم احتجازهم رهائن”.
ودعت منظمات غير حكومية هايتية إلى إطلاق سراح الأشخاص الذين خُطفوا السبت أثناء تحركهم شرق العاصمة، وهي منطقة يكثر فيها انتشار العصابات المسلحة التي تستغل الفراغ الأمني والأزمة السياسية التي تفاقمت بعد اغتيال رئيس البلاد جوفينيل مويس في يوليو.
وقال جيديون جان، مدير مركز التحليل والبحث في مجال حقوق الإنسان، إن “الشرطة تظهر عاجزة عن مواجهة العصابات التي تنظم نفسها بشكل متزايد وتسيطر على مزيد من الأراضي في منطقة العاصمة (بور أو برنس) ولكن أيضًا في المدن الإقليمية”.
ولم ترغب الشرطة الهايتية الرد على سؤال لوكالة فرانس برس حول هذا الموضوع.
وقالت المنظمة الدينية التي ينتمي إليها المبشرون المخطوفون في بيانها إنهم كانوا عائدين من زيارة إلى دار للأيتام عندما تم خطفهم مع أفراد عائلاتهم.
وأفاد مصدر أمني هايتي بأن أفراد العصابة المسماة “ماووزو 400” احتجزوا سيارات عدة تسير على الطرق السريعة التي يسيطرون عليها واختطفوا مواطنين أمريكيين وكندي، بالإضافة إلى عدد غير معروف حتى الآن من الهايتيين. وتُعتبر هذه الزيارة الأولى إلى هايتي بالنسبة إلى بعض أعضاء المنظمة الدينية.
من جهته قال متحدث باسم الحكومة الأمريكية لوكالة فرانس برس في وقت سابق إن “رفاهية المواطنين الأمريكيين في الخارج وسلامتهم، من أهم أولوياتنا في وزارة الخارجية. نحن على دراية بهذه المعلومات وليس لدينا ما نضيفه في الوقت الحالي”.
وكررت متحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الأحد: “نحن على علم بهذه المعلومات وليس لدينا ما نضيفه في الوقت الحالي”.
ونقلت صحيفة واشنطن بوست عن شخص على دراية بتفاصيل القضية، إن أحد المخطوفين أرسل رسالة يائسة إلى احدى المجموعات عبر تطبيق واتسآب لدى حصول الواقعة.
وجاء في الرسالة: “صلوا من أجلنا من فضلكم! نحن محتجزون كرهائن، لقد خطفوا سائقنا. صلوا، صلوا، صلوا. لا نعرف إلى أين سيأخذوننا”، حسب ما نقلت الصحيفة.
ووسعت العصابات المسلحة التي تسيطر منذ سنوات على أفقر المناطق في هايتي، نفوذها لتشمل العاصمة بور أو برنس والمناطق المحيطة بها، حيث تعمل على زيادة عدد عمليات الخطف. وتم تسجيل أكثر من 600 حالة في الأرباع الثلاثة الأولى من عام 2021 مقابل 231 حالة في الفترة نفسها من عام 2020، وفقًا لمركز التحليل والبحث في مجال حقوق الإنسان ومقره العاصمة الهايتية.
