اليونان تتعهد بربط شبكة الطاقة المصرية مع الاتحاد الأوروبي
تعهدت اليونان الثلاثاء بربط مصر بسوق الطاقة في الاتحاد الأوروبي بكابل بحري ينقل الكهرباء عبر البحر المتوسط.
وقال رئيس الوزراء كيرياكوس ميتسوتاكيس بعد محادثاته في أثينا مع الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي “ارتباط (مصر) بأوروبا سيكون اليونان”. “نحن نسعى لتنويع مصادر الطاقة ، ويمكن لمصر أن تصبح أيضًا مزودًا للكهرباء ، والتي سيتم إنتاجها أساسًا عن طريق الشمس”.
يأتي ذلك خلال أزمة طاقة عالمية ، مما أدى إلى ارتفاع تكلفة الغاز الطبيعي والنفط وأنواع الوقود الأخرى ، وأدى إلى معاناة الشركات والأفراد العاديين. وقال ميتسوتاكيس إن المشروع سيكون “جسرًا بين مصر وأوروبا ، مما يسمح [للقاهرة] بتولي دور رئيسي في أمن الطاقة في وقت يشهد اضطرابات كبيرة في سوق الطاقة”.
وقعت مصر الأسبوع الماضي اتفاقيات منفصلة مع اليونان وقبرص لإنشاء روابط ربط تحت البحر ، على الرغم من عدم تحديد تفاصيل المشاريع المقترحة.
كما انضم الرئيس القبرصي نيكوس أناستاسيادس إلى اجتماع أثينا ، الذي يمثل الجولة التاسعة من المحادثات بين زعماء الدول الثلاث.
