علماء هونغ كونغ ينشرون أول صورة لمتحور “أوميكرون”
نشر علماء جامعة هونغ كونغ أول صورة لمتحور “أوميكرون” التقطت باستخدام المجهر الإلكتروني.
وتشير وكالة نوفوستي الروسية للأنباء، إلى أن علماء كلية الطب بالجامعة بالتعاون مع خبراء في مجال الأمراض والفيروسات، تمكنوا من التقاط صورة مجهرية لخلية كلية قرد (Vero E6) بعد إصابتها بمتحور “أوميكرون” من الفيروس التاجي المستجد، ونشروها بعد تكبيرها.
وأوضح الباحثون، أنه في حالة التكبير البسيط يلاحظ على الصورة تلف الخلايا مع حويصلات تحتوي على جزيئات فيروسية صغيرة سوداء اللون. وفي حالة التكبير العالية، تظهر في الصورة جزيئات الفيروس على شكل أشواك إكليلية على سطحها.

وقد أصبح معلوما في وقت سابق، أن علماء قسم الأحياء الدقيقة في جامعة هونغ كونغ، تمكنوا من عزل متحور “أوميكرون” من العينات السريرية، ما سيسمح بتطوير وإنتاج لقاح مضاد لهذا المتحور.
