عضو بمنظمة “براود بويز” يقر بالذنب في اقتحام مبنى الكابيتول
أقر عضو في جماعة “براود بويز” بالذنب في تهمتين جنائيتين تم توجيههما إليه عقب مشاركته في أعمال شغب في مبنى الكابيتول الأمريكي في 6 يناير، ووافق على التعاون مع المحققين بهذه القضية.
واعترف ماثيو غرين، وهو أحد قدامى المحاربين في الحرس الوطني الذي يقول المدعون أنه عضو في الفرع المحلي من Proud Boys في سيراكيوز بنيويورك، اعترف بأنه مذنب في تهمة واحدة تتعلق بالتآمر وتهمة أخرى بعرقلة الإجراءات الرسمية لتصديق الكونغرس على أصوات الهيئة الانتخابية، خلال هجوم 6 يناير على الكابيتول.
وقال المدعون إنهم يخططون للتوصية بعقوبة من 41 إلى 51 شهرا في السجن بناء على مبادئ توجيهية محسوبة.
وكجزء من اتفاق الإقرار بالذنب، وافق غرين على التعاون مع الحكومة في التحقيق الذي تجريه، الأمر الذي قد يؤثر على توصيات الإدعاء في وقت إصدار الحكم، ومن المقرر عقد جلسة النطق بالحكم في مارس 2022.
يذكر أن غرين الموجود في السجن حاليا، تم توجيه الاتهام إليه في أبريل الماضي ، إلى جانب المتهمين الآخرين، وعضوي المنظمة دومنيك بيزولا وويليام بيبي، في تهم متعددة بما في ذلك تهمة التآمر. كما أن بيزولا متهم بالاعتداء على ضباط الشرطة أو مقاومتهم في مبنى الكابيتول.
وزعمت لائحة الاتهام أن غرين وبيزولا “وصلا سماعات أذن بأجهزة راديو رقمية محمولة” قبل الهجوم على مبنى الكابيتول، وكانا من أوائل الأشخاص الذين اجتازوا الشرطة وتقدموا بشكل غير قانوني إلى ويست بلازا في أراضي الكابيتول، وفقا لملفات المحكمة.
