استمر انتشار متحور Omicron شديد الانتقال بلا هوادة في اليونان يوم الأربعاء حيث أبلغت السلطات الصحية عن 43386 حالة جديدة. وتم تحديد 43386 حالة جديدة من خلال 416.400 اختبارا بنسبة إيجابية بلغت 10.41٪. يرفع تقرير الأربعاء العدد الإجمالي للحالات الجديدة في اليونان خلال الأسبوع الماضي إلى 282369 ، أي ما يقرب من 20 ٪ من إجمالي عدد حالات Covid-19 في اليونان منذ بداية الوباء (1388309).
كما أعلن الإحاطة اليومية الصادرة عن المنظمة الوطنية للصحة العامة (EODY) عن 62 حالة وفاة ، حيث ارتفع العدد الإجمالي للوفيات منذ بداية الوباء إلى 21115 مريضًا ، وكشف أن هناك حاليًا 628 مريضًا يتم تنبيبهم في وحدات العناية المركزة اليونانية.
