رئيس الوزراء اليوناني: وباء كورونا سينتهي بمتحور “أوميكرون”
أعرب رئيس الوزراء اليوناني كيرياكوس ميتسوتاكيس عن ثقته بأن متحور “أوميكرون” سيكون الفصل الأخير في تاريخ جائحة كورونا، مشيرا إلى أن الوباء سيتحول إلى “مرض مستوطن”.
وقال مخاطبا الطاقم الطبي في مستشفى “سوتيريا” وبحضور وزير الصحة ثانوس بلوريس: “أردت أن أكون معكم اليوم لأشكركم مرة أخرى على هذه الأشهر الـ22 الصعبة للغاية.. أعلم أننا أحيانا نشعر بأننا محاصرون في أسطورة سيزيف (أسطورة يونانية قديمة)، حيث ندفع صخرة إلى قمة الجبل فتتدحرج إلى الأسفل من جديد”.
وأضاف: “هناك لقاحات في البلاد، 8 من كل 10 بالغين تم تطعيمهم الآن، واهتمت الحكومة بتعزيز نظام الرعاية الصحية، وقريبا جدا سيكون لديها أدوية جديدة لفيروس كورونا، سيتم وصفها للمرضى في الأيام الأولى من تشخيص المرض”.
وتابع: “هذه الأدوية فعالة أيضا ضد متحور “أوميكرون”، وسنكون من أوائل الدول الأوروبية التي تتلقاها، وبناء على البروتوكولات التي يحددها الخبراء، سنكون قادرين على توفيرها”.
